Web hosting with big capacity?

A video web hosting question:

Hello,
We are a couple of people from Denmark who are working on a new video site witch of cause will be different from all other. :-)

We are interested in identifying the right web hosting service that will meet our needs.

Our needs are:
-Our site will be hosting approximately 50GB of video material, where each video will be about 30MB.
-When launching our PR campaign (Techcrunch, Mashable, and sites alike) we hope for something like 100.000 visitors watching the same video over a period of 24 hours. We wish :-)
-So something like 1.000 visitors should be able view the same video at the same time without delay.
-We do not have any need for top security.
-We do expect a service with a high % uptime.
-We are on a tight budget, so it can’t be real expensive.

    Well. 50 GB is not much for a video hosting site. You might need space in TB, although you can start with some GB in storage. Bandwidth is also important for video hosting site.

    You will need dedicated hosting as shared hosting don’t allow video streaming.

    I guess, http://www.mediatemple.net is good hosting provider for your needs. They offer virtual dedicated server with reasonable rates.

    Hey, i use Godaddy.com, they rule, 300GB space, PHP, SQL, Email… all for like $4 USD a month or near.

    Please don’t trust dishonest claims like unlimited hosting space or unlimited bandwidth! I want to know if they allow the Yahoo and Google sites to be got hosted on their servers ?!!

    As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements.
