Live Streaming Video…?
A frequently-asked query:
Okay, here’s a bunch of questions that I hope to get answers for. I have been asked to help put together a web site for a local tourist attraction where people can float down the river channel, that is approx. 2 km. It can take up to 3 hours to go down the channel, and it’s quite a popular site. Anyway, I need to know how I go about putting a ‘live streaming video’ on this web site? What equipment do I need? Is there a program that I need to run this on the computer? What kind of cam do I need to do this? How DOES it record from the bus, onto the computer?? And does the web site, with streaming video need to be running from the web host’s computer/server, or does the company need to get their own server? Does anyone know what the code is to put the live video on the web site? Is it true that you need to keep the computer running 24/7 if you have live streaming video? Does it cost extra to do this (web host)?
Any help would be appreciated. I can be reached at argamedius@yahoo.com too
